We have made pin badges for @switchboardlgbt a few times now and wanted to share the important work that they do with you all. It’s a real honour to be able to make these acrylic pins for them 🥰

⚡️ What is switchboard?

Switchboard is the national LGBTQIA+ support line.

⚡️ What do they do?

Swtichboard offer a non-judgemental listening ear for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. Their volunteers are there for anyone, anywhere within the country, at any point in their journey, in difficult times or moments of joy.

⚡️When do they operate and how can I access it?

The Switchboard support lines are available between 10am - 10pm, 365 days a year. Their support is completely free and can be accessed however you feel most comfortable, whether that’s over the phone, via chat or email.

They can talk things through so that you have the options and information you need to make your own decisions. Whether you have an everyday enquiry or a life-defining decision, they are there for you.

FAQ time! 🎨 We know that some customers want the bare wood to show on their products (and we think it looks great) but a lot of the time the decorations have the colour added after they’ve left us ➡️

⚡️Can I paint and add colour onto my wooden decorations and charms myself?⚡️

Yes you can! A few of our customers regularly paint or lino print onto their wooden designs and we think the outcome is beautiful!

It’s quite common that those customers order basic engraved wooden designs and once they make it to them, they paint or ink them. Just like @squirrelbandit 🌼

We would always recommend testing your paints, primers or materials on a sample before committing, especially if you’ve never done it before. You can order a sample of your own designs on our website, alternatively, we have a free sample pack that you can order. This includes a few different materials that you can try out your supplies on the back of, just to make sure you’re happy with the outcome!
